the album
Crescent, Gackt's fourth solo album, was released on December 3, 2003. It's conceptually linked to his third album, Moon. Anyway, the tracklist is as follows, with the album's singles highlighted:
- Dybbuk
- mind forest
- 月の詩 (Tsuki no Uta)
- 君が待っているから (Kimi ga Matteiru Kara)
- Solitary
- 星の砂 (Hoshi no Suna)
- Lust for blood
- white eyes
- 君が追いかけた夢 (Kimi ga Oikaketa Yume)
- Last Song
- birdcage
- オレンジの太陽 (Orenji no Taiyou)
The most famous song on the album is of course "Orenji no Taiyou," which is a duet with HYDE of L'arc~en~ciel. It was featured in the 2003 movie Moon Child, which stars the two of them in all of their insanity glory.
You can buy the album from several online retailers, such as the following:
- YesAsia (Japan version)
- YesAsia (Korea version - this is cheaper than the Japan version)
- CDJapan.co.jp
- Amazon.com
In addition, the album is available on iTunes, in quite a few countries. However, the US iTunes, and probably the others too, lack the last track, "Orenji no Taiyou." Seeing as it's one of the best songs on the album, I'd suggest buying the physical copy. Seriously, it's worth it. In any case, you can preview the album there, which you probably should if you're not sure you want to buy it. (But do, because it's great. XD)
